We review last week's assignment and correct the students' pronunciation of the four tones.

  • Train students' listening skills, encouraging them to explain to each other (in Mandarin) or use English as a supplementary aid to help understand what their classmates are saying.
  • Below are the words and phrases we repeatedly corrected and discussed. The students are unclear about how to distinguish the usage of these two words.

·        我們檢查上週的作業。改正學生的四聲正確發音。
Wǒmen jiǎnchá shàng zhōu de zuòyè, gǎizhèng xuéshēng de sìshēng zhèngquè fāyīn.

·        訓練學生的聴力,讓同學互相解釋(用華語)或(英文)輔助去了解同學說什麼。
Xùnliàn xuéshēng de tīnglì, ràng tóngxué hùxiāng jiěshì (yòng Huáyǔ) huò (Yīngwén) fǔzhù qù liǎojiě tóngxué shuō shénme.

·        以下是我們反覆指正討論的字及詞。同學們不太清楚如何區分這兩個字的用法?
Yǐxià shì wǒmen fǎnfù zhǐzhèng tǎolùn de zì jí cí. Tóngxuémen bù tài qīngchǔ rúhé qūfēn zhè liǎng gè zì de yòngfǎ.

莞茵 shared her experience of watching the play "Liǔ Àn Huā Míng" ("Light at the End of the Tunnel"). It was a rare opportunity, and she wrote about it very well.

Chairperson Xu Jiaqing and Deputy Representative Yang from the Overseas Community Affairs Center, accompanied by Principal Tang Boyu and Academic Director Huang Yimin, made a special visit to observe the TCML classes at the Washington Taiwanese School. The students were able to engage in fluent conversations with Chairperson Xu using basic Mandarin.

徐委員長佳青及僑教中心楊副代表由唐伯禹校長及黃亦敏教務主任帶領,特別到班上參觀華府臺灣學校TCML上課情形。同學能夠用簡單華語流利的和徐委員長交談。
