    We shared what we have learned from Indigenous Cultural Class – (Taiwanese Aboriginal Groups) – we presented “Aboriginal costumes fashion show ” 臺灣華語文學習中心 - 中級班學生 - 分享了原住民文化課程 - 學習臺灣原住民, 參與「華府臺灣學校 - 原住民日 - 服裝展覧。」 Táiwān huáyǔ wén xuéxí zhōngxīn - zhōngjí bān xuéshēng-fēnxiǎngle yuán zhùmín wénhuà kèchéng - xuéxí táiwān yuán zhùmín, cānyù `huá fǔ táiwān xuéxiào-yuán zhùmín rì-fúzhuāng zhǎnlǎn.' One of the students, Ken Fan - 范健 , is From Pingtung, Taiwan. He is the descendant of Rukai tribes. He is so proud to invite his father Dr. Wu-Hsiung ( 蔡武雄博士 ) to celebrate with us. 其中一名學生, 范健 , 來自台灣屏東。 他是魯凱族的後裔。 他非常高興邀請父親,(蔡武雄博士)參加 與我們一起慶祝 今天的「原住民活動」, 師生,家長互動交流,與會興緻高昂。 Qízhōng yī míng xuéshēng, 范健, láizì táiwān píng dōng.     The school announcement. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, we will have to postpone tomorrow’s indigenous event until next Sunday. I’m so sorry we have to delay it! 學校宣布 , 原住民日延後一星期 ! 抱歉,由於家庭緊急情況,我們不得不將 2023 年 11 月 12 日的 ”   原住民日 ” 活動延後到下個星期日 Xuéxiào xuānbù, yuán zhùmín rì yán hòu yī xīngqí! Bàoqiàn, yóuyú jiātíng jǐnjí qíngkuàng, wǒmen bùdé bù jiāng 2023 nián 11 yuè 12 rì de” yuán zhùmín rì” huódòng yán hòu dào xià gè xīngqírì. We learned the new word “father-in-law’ , “postpone”, and “blood.” 我們學習了新字「岳父」 , 「   延後」 , 和「血」 。 Wǒmen xuéxíle xīn zì , `yuèfù' , “Yánhòu,” hé `xuè'. We welcome the new student, Beverly Fan, to our class.   The “self-introduction” 5 sentences from each classmate were shared.   It was such a lively conversation to use “where we were from and what we do to make a living” as icebreaker to greet each other.
