    We have 7 students participating in the class today along with Joseph’s two nieces, Cecelia, and Charlotte. We use the vocabulary of “globe” from last week to identify the 6 continents and 3 oceans.     We explain the differences between “Land” and “Continent.”     ( 州-land ) any land between rivers. ( 洲- continent ) – adding 3 dots which refers to land between even larger bodies of water.  Cecelia and Charlotte also volunteer in the class for pointing to the right oceans on the globe.  We use Let’s Learn Mandarin Volume 2, Lesson 5, “Welcome!” page 70 as the teaching unit today.     We also participate “WDCTS Mid-Autumn Celebration” at the all-Purpose room.  The main theme this year is to introduce the “Lord of the Land - :  土地公 ”     and one of the Taiwanese of customs of “steal a scallion to get a good marriage - 「 偷挽蔥，...
