WDCTS-TCML (Washington D.C. Taiwanese School -Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning) Conversation Class Note - March 3, 2024

 

Today, we have 1 student absent.

We all took the opportunity to learn the Spring Morning poem - by Meng Haoran (689-740) of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) while reviewing “Let’s Learn Mandarin Volume 2, Lesson 1”  “The weather is nice today.”

今天，我們有 1 位學生缺席。

當我們複習《來!學華語第二冊,第一課》，「今天, 天氣很好」，時，我們利用機會學習唐代詩人孟浩然（689-740）的《春曉》。

Jīntiān, wǒmen yǒu 1 wèi xuéshēng quēxí.

Dāng wǒmen fùxí “lái! Xué huáyǔ dì èr cè, dì yī kè”,`jīntiān tiānqì hěn hǎo', shí, wǒmen lìyòng jīhuì xuéxí táng dài shīrén mènghàorán (689-740) de “chūnxiǎo”.

We congratulated Olga Oka who passed “speedy screening TOCFL listening and reading” Novice level.  All of us will participate in the official TOCFL test on April 28, 2024 1:30 p.m. – The self-registration procedures are provided,  and the deadline is March 7, 2024. Please bring your registration check to school on March 10, for school reimbursement after you take the test.

我們恭喜Olga Oka通過了“華語文能力測驗-TOCFL-聽力和閱讀” 準備級 - 閱讀模擬測試。 我們我們班大多數人將參加2024年4月28日下午1:30舉行的官方TOCFL考試。 自助註冊程序已提供，截止日期為2024年3月7日。請於3月10日將註冊支票帶到學校，考試後將由學校予以退費。

Wǒmen gōngxǐ Olga Oka tōngguòle “huáyǔ wén nénglì cèyàn-TOCFL-tīnglì hé yuèdú” zhǔnbèi jí - yuèdú mónǐ cèshì. Wǒmen wǒmen bān dà duōshù rén jiāng cānjiā 2024 nián 4 yuè 28 rì xiàwǔ 1:30 Jǔxíng de guānfāng TOCFL kǎoshì. Zìzhù zhùcè chéngxù yǐ tígōng, jiézhǐ rìqí wèi 2024 nián 3 yuè 7 rì. Qǐng yú 3 yuè 10 rì jiāng zhùcè zhīpiào dài dào xuéxiào, kǎoshì hòu jiāngyóu xuéxiào yǔyǐ tuì fèi.

We shared and reviewed the homework of this week from some of the classmates.  All of them did quite well to write 5+ sentences about “Spring.”

我們分享並討論了本週一些同學的家庭作業。 他們都寫得很好，描述了有關“春天”的5句以上的句子。

Wǒmen fēnxiǎng bìng tǎolùnle běn zhōu yīxiē tóngxué de jiātíng zuòyè. Tāmen dōu xiě dé hěn hǎo, miáoshùle yǒuguān “chūntiān” de 5 jù yǐshàng de jùzi.

Some of the compositions can be used as  “titles of Public Speech Competition”,  which will be held on April 13 by “The Greater Washington Chinese School Association” at the Taiwan Cultural Center of TECRO.

其中一些作品可以用作“公開演講比賽的題目”，比賽將由“大華府中文學校協會”於TECRO台灣文化中心於4月13日舉行。

Qízhōng yīxiē zuòpǐn kěyǐ yòng zuò “gōngkāi yǎnjiǎng bǐsài de tímù”, bǐsài jiāngyóu “dà huá fǔ zhōngwén xuéxiào xiéhuì” yú TECRO táiwān wénhuà zhōngxīn yú 4 yuè 13 rì jǔxíng.

We are so encouraged and happy that some of you will be participating in this event as an opportunity to hone and polish your “Mandaring Public speaking” skills. 

我們很高興和鼓勵你們中的一些同學能參加這個活動，作為磨練和提升你們的“華語演講”技巧的機會。

Wǒmen hěn gāoxìng hé gǔlì nǐmen zhōng de yīxiē tóngxué néng cānjiā zhège huódòng, zuòwéi mó liàn hé tíshēng nǐmen de “huáyǔ yǎnjiǎng” jìqiǎo de jīhuì.

Homework: “All you know about Taiwan” write in 10-20 sentences.  The topic will be used as the title of “public Mandarin Speech competition” on April 13, 2024 If you are not using “Spring” as your title.

家庭作業：“你所知道的台灣” 寫10-20句。 這將作為2024年4月13日“公開演講比賽”的題目, 如果你不用「春天」作為你的題目。

Jiātíng zuòyè:“Nǐ suǒ zhīdào de táiwān” xiě 10-20 jù. Zhè jiāng zuòwéi 2024 nián 4 yuè 13 rì “gōngkāi yǎnjiǎng bǐsài” de tímù, rúguǒ nǐ bùyòng `chūntiān'zuòwéi nǐ de tímù.
