1.     Thanks Teacher Nicki, for guiding our students at TCML Mandarin adult Level II class in "Basic Training of Brush Calligraphy."

2.     Explanation of the basic eight principles of the "Eternal (Yang, Character" script.
3.     Students learned the writing style of the character "" (spring).

4.     We reviewed last week's language class, covering the introduction of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

 1. Xièxiè Nicki lǎoshī zhǐdǎo huáyǔ wén xuéxí zhōngxīn, huáyǔ chéngrén,level II

bān `máobǐ zì jīběn xùnliàn'

2. Jīběn yǒngzìbāfǎ jiǎngjiě.

3. Xuéshēng xuéxí `chūn zì'xiěfǎ.

4. Shùnbiàn fùxí shàng zhōu yǔyán kè `chūn xià qiūdōng'de jièshào.

5.     Teacher Wu introduced the art of paper cutting with the theme of the character "" (spring). Both teachers and students were enthusiastic, and they engaged in hands-on creation of a three-dimensional "" character artwork.
6.     During the explanation, students not only learned how to fold a ”rectangular” red paper into a “triangle” and then into a “square” shape but also transformed the calligraphy of the character "" into a three-dimensional pattern through paper cutting. Additionally, they learned 3 new vocabularies in shapes.

5. 吳老師介紹剪紙文化「春字」圖型。師生興趣高昂,動手創作立體 「春字圖」。

6. 講解中,學生不但學習如何將「長方形」紅紙,摺成「三角形」,又摺成「正方形」,將學習的「春字」毛筆字,剪成立體圖案。而且又學到新的生詞。

 5. Wú lǎoshī jièshào jiǎnzhǐ wénhuà `chūn zì'tú xíng. Shī shēng xìngqù gāo'áng, dòngshǒu chuàngzuò lìtǐ `chūn zì tú'

6. Jiǎngjiě zhōng, xuéshēng bùdàn xuéxí rúhé jiāng `chángfāngxíng'hóngzhǐ, zhé chéng `sānjiǎoxíng', yòu zhé chéng `zhèngfāngxíng', jiāng xuéxí de `chūn zì'máobǐ zì, jiǎn chéng lìtǐ tú'àn. Érqiě yòu xué dào xīn de shēngcí.

7. Xièxiè yì mǐn lǎoshī dào jiàoshì cānguān wǒmen de shàngkè qíngxíng.

This week, we explored the class of calligraphy and paper cutting, focusing on the stroke techniques for the character "" (spring). I hope this course provides you with a deeper understanding of the beauty of Hanzi character art. Each stroke in calligraphy is filled with power and artistic expression, allowing you to feel the rhythmic beauty of the written word. Paper cutting is a unique skill where paper is meticulously cut into exquisite shapes, highlighting the lively imagery of "" (spring). I hope this course not only satisfies your artistic interests but also deepens everyone's understanding of Hanzi character culture.

這星期介紹書法和剪紙課,學習字的筆法部分。希望這門課讓你們更深入地了解漢字藝術的美妙之處。書法的每一筆都充滿著力量和藝術性,讓你們感受到文字的韻律之美。剪紙則是一種獨特的技巧,將紙張剪成精美的形狀,展現出的生動意象。希望這門課程不僅滿足你們的藝術愛好,還加深了大家對漢字文化的理解。

Zhè xīngqí jièshào shūfǎ hé jiǎnzhǐ kè, xuéxí chūn zì de bǐfǎ bùfèn. Xīwàng zhè mén kè ràng nǐmen gēng shēnrù dì liǎojiě hànzì yìshù dì měimiào zhī chù. Shūfǎ de měi yībǐ dōu chōng mǎn zhuó lìliàng hé yìshùxìng, ràng nǐmen gǎnshòu dào wénzì de yùnlǜ zhīměi. Jiǎnzhǐ zé shì yīzhǒng dútè de jìqiǎo, jiāng zhǐzhāng jiǎn chéng jīngměi de xíngzhuàng, zhǎnxiàn chū chūn de shēngdòng yìxiàng. Xīwàng zhè mén kèchéng bùjǐn mǎnzú nǐmen de yìshù àihào, hái jiāshēnle dàjiā duì hànzì wénhuà de lǐjiě.

Homework:

Please write 5 sentences about how you like the class of Calligraphy and paper cutting with “Spring” character after you share with your family.
