WDCTS-TCML (Washington D.C. Taiwanese School -Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning) Conversation Class Note - Oct 15, 2023

 




 



1.     1. We Reviewed Let’s Learn Mandarin Volume 2, Lesson 5, “Welcome!” page 70 about the colors and the world map with continents and oceans.

 


 


 


 



2.      2. We learned how to be more accommodating and respectful with different cultures during the reviewing process.  We learn these two words.  Son-in-law and daughter-in-law.


3.   3From Fariha’s homework we learned how to read MRT map to take the subway from Taipei Train station to Yuanshan and Shilin

 

 

  4She shared with us there are four languages (Mandarin, Taiwanese, English, and Japanese) used in announcing each station during the MRT ride.  Hakka is an ethnic minority in Taiwan.  It is also used in MRT announcing stations besides Korean.


5.       5We learned from Darrel’s homework about people in Okinawa who have the longest expectancy in the world.

Táiwān lí rìběn chōngshéng hěn jìn

Taiwan is very close to Okinawa Japan

 


6.       6We also learned Taiwanese indigenous people.  We will focus on “aboriginal culture’ at our next week lesson to be ready for November 12 WDCTS Indigenous Day Celebration.  We are excited to have the opportunity for “Individual Amis costumes exhibits”.

2. 在複習過程中,我們學會如何更包容和尊重不同的文化。 我們學習這兩個字。 女婿和媳婦。

3. 何妃琳的作業中我們學會如何看捷運地圖 - 從台北火車站乘坐地鐵到圓山和士林。

1. Wǒmen fùxíle lái! Xué huáyǔ dì yī cè dì 5 kè huānyíng nǐ lái! Dì 70 yè guānyú yánsè, yǐjí yǒu dàlù hé hǎiyáng de shìjiè dìtú.

2. Zài fùxí guòchéng zhōng, wǒmen xuéhuì rúhé gèng bāoróng hé zūnzhòng bùtóng de wénhuà. Wǒmen xuéxí zhè liǎng gè zì. Nǚxù hé xífù.

3. Cóng hé fēi lín(何妃琳) de zuòyè zhōng wǒmen xuéhuì rúhé kàn jié yùn dìtú - cóng táiběi huǒchēzhàn chéngzuò dìtiě dào yuán shān hé shì lín.

4. Tā gēn wǒmen fēnxiǎng, dāng tā dā dìtiě shí, tā tīngdào sì zhǒng yǔyán (huáyǔ, tái yǔ, yīngyǔ, hé rìyǔ) guǎngbò měi gè chē zhàn míng. Kèjiā shì táiwān de yīgè shǎoshù mínzú. Chúle hányǔ wài, kèjiā huà yě yòng yú jié yùn bào zhàn.

5.  Wǒmen cóng xióng dàdōng (熊大東) de zuòyè zhōng, liǎojiě dào chōngshéng rén de shòumìng shì shìjiè dì yī.

6. Wǒmen yě tǎolùnle táiwān yuán zhùmín. Wǒmen jiàng zàixià zhōu de kèchéng, xuéxí yuán zhùmín wénhuà”. Zhǔnbèi wèi 11 yuè 12 rì WDCTS (huá fǔ táiwān xuéxiào) yuán zhùmín rì qìngzhù huódòng. Wǒmen hěn gāoxìng yǒu jīhuì cānjiā `āměi fúshì gèrén zhǎn'.
