May 14, 2023 - Washington D.C. Taiwanese School Advanced Mandarin Conversation Class Note-40th anniversary celebration event

 

• Washington DC Taiwanese School 40th anniversary celebration event was held on May 14, 2023.  "Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning- TCML" was in charge of Taiwanese Cultural Introduction about "Moon Blocks".  Our student, Darrel Rico Doss 熊大東 did an excellent job teaching and demonstrating students and participants young and old.  Kudos for him as a cultural ambassador and a facilitator, to connect what he had learned from the classroom to the outside community.

• Huá fǔ táiwān xuéxiào 40 zhōunián qìngdiǎn huódòng yú 2023 nián 5 yuè 14 rì jǔxíng,`táiwān huáyǔ wén xuéxí zhōngxīn'fùzé “tuán shèng xiáo sài” táiwān wénhuà jièshào. Wǒmen de xuéshēng, 熊大東, biǎoxiàn chūsè. Gǎnxiè tā zuòwéi wénhuà dàshǐ hé tuīdòng zhě, jiāng tā cóng kètáng shàng suǒ xué dào de zhīshì yǔ wàibù shèqū liánxì qǐlái.

• One of our students, Steven  (葛艾倫), was tied up in the traffic jams on the way from Baltimore, he had to miss the co-teaching the "moon blocks" cultural introduction booth.

• The evaluations about WDCTS/TCML from Darrel Rico Doss 熊大東:

1.         Express the appreciation of teacher’s dedicated private lesson to help the students.  He would like to continue learning at the teacher's class.
2.        .   Love WDCTS offer diverse cultural fairs during the school years to promote Taiwan.
3.           Offer more drills from the textbook “Let’s learn Mandarin” for students to practice writing.
4.            Introduce more Taiwan current events for students to understand the status of Taiwan in the world.
5.           Wish to get a copy of the CD of “Let’s learn Mandarin” because listening more will help the students get better in learning Mandarin.
