The correct way to write 台(臺):tái
台(臺):tái
1. High flat buildings. Such as: pavilions; The extension refers to "things like a table, stand, pedestal.” Such as: windowsill, lampstand, and pagoda.
2. Also used as a quantifier. For example: a play, a lamp.
3. Abbreviation for Taiwan(台灣): Taiwan compatriots. Taiwan dollars.
