  • Teacher Wu said, "how is everyone?  Have you heard the summer cicada noise this year?  Cicada is also called "know it all" to describe its very big loud sound. " 吳老師說: "大家好嗎？ 今年夏天的蟬聲你聽到嗎？ 蟬也被稱為"知了"，以形容它非常響亮的聲音。。" Wú lǎoshī shuō: "Dàjiā hǎo ma? Jīnnián xiàtiān de chán shēng nǐ tīngdào ma? Chán yě bèi chēng wèi "zhī liáo", yǐ xíngróng tā fēicháng xiǎngliàng de shēngyīn."
  •  Joseph (高 靖和) said: "my 4-year-old son likes Cicada very much.  He would put them in his hands to play with."   Joseph (高 靖和)  說: "我 4 歲的兒子非常喜歡蟬。 他會把它們拿在手裡玩。"        Joseph (高 靖和) shuō:  "Wǒ 4 suì de érzi fēicháng xǐhuān chán. Tā huì bǎ tāmen ná zài shǒu lǐ wán."




  • Teacher Wu said, "This week is "Dragon Boat Festival" festival in Taiwan.  Did you eat "rice Dumpling?"  Let me introduce you the "rice Dumpling."" 吳老師說: "本周是台灣的“端午節”。 你吃過“粽子”嗎？ 給大家介紹一下“粽子”。" Wú lǎoshī shuō: "Běn zhōu shì táiwān de “duānwǔ jié”. Nǐ chīguò “zòngzi” ma? Gěi dàjiā jièshào yīxià “zòngzi”."

  • Teacher Wu said, "This is a "Rice dumpling - Fragrance Pouch" that my sister sent it to me in 2003.  It has a letter filled with sisterly-love messages inside.  It reminds me of my past summer recollection." 吳老師說: "這是2003年姐姐寄給我的“粽子-香包”，裡面有一封信，裡面寫滿了姐妹情。 它讓我想起了我過去夏天的回憶。" Wú lǎoshī shuō: "Zhè shì 2003 nián jiějiě jì gěi wǒ de “zòngzi-xiāng bāo”, lǐmiàn yǒuyī fēng xìn, lǐmiàn xiě mǎnle jiěmèi qíng. Tā ràng wǒ xiǎngqǐle wǒ guòqù xiàtiān de huíyì."

  • Teacher Wu said, "Let me introduce you and the family a fun summer arts and crafts project: to make "rice dumpling with drinking straws."  The next week's assignment is to write "your summer memory." with one paragraph and at least 5 sentences.  " 吳老師說: "給你和家人介紹一個有趣的小手工藝品: 做“吸管粽子”。 下週的作業是寫“你的夏日回憶”。 用一個段落和至少 5 個句子。" Wú lǎoshī shuō: "Gěi nǐ hé jiārén jièshào yīgè yǒuqù de xiǎoshǒu gōngyìpǐn:  zuò “xīguǎn zòngzi”. Xià zhōu de zuòyè shì xiě “nǐ de xià rì huíyì”. Yòng yīgè duànluò hé zhìshǎo 5 gè jùzi."

    Today, we have reviewed "Let's Learn mandarin" Volume 1, Lesson 5 - how to differentiate "where?" and "there." in tones.  The class was video-recorded for one of the required sessions of teacher's training program for "Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning Teacher's Certificate.  今天，我們複習《來!學華語》第1冊第五課——如何區分“哪裡？ 和“那裡” 音調。 該課程為“ 「台灣華語文學習中心」 教師認證”教師培訓計劃必修課之一的視頻錄製。 Jīntiān, wǒmen fùxí “lái!
