  • Teacher Wu said, "How is everyone! Thanksgiving Day is coming, Are you all roasting turkey this year？"吳老師說: "大家好！感恩節快到了，今年你們都烤火雞嗎？" Wú lǎoshī shuō: "Dàjiā hǎo! Gǎn'ēn jié kuài dàole, jīnnián nǐmen dōu kǎohuǒ jī ma?"
  • Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫)  said, "We are not planning to roast turkey this year.  But  Steve (葛艾倫)  said, "I will eat sushi with my daughter Jen-Jen because my wife will be visiting her mother in New Jersey."  and Raymond (書宗),said, "my daughters do not like turkey."  Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫)  shuō, "我們今年不烤火雞。 但是，Steve (葛艾倫) 說：“我和我的女兒想吃壽司，因為我的太太會去新澤西州探望她的母親。”Raymond(書宗)說，“我的女兒不喜歡吃火雞。” "Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫) shuō, "Wǒmen jīnnián bù kǎohuǒ jī.   • Teacher Wu said, "Does anyone know why is turkey in Chinese character called "fire chicken?""  吳老師說: "有誰知道為什麼火雞被稱為“火雞”？ Wú lǎoshī shuō: Yǒu shuí zhīdào wèishéme huǒ jī bèi chēng wèi “huǒ jī”?
  • Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫) said, "Don't know!"  Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫) 說: "不知道!"  Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), Raymond(書宗), Joseph (高靖和), 和 Steve (葛艾倫) shuō, "Bù zhīdào!"
  • But, the teacher said," I used to be a Tomboy in my farmer's family.  I liked to chase the turkey.The turkey instead got very angry  and chased me and attacked  me.  So the turkey has the firing temper like "fires" 但是，老師說：“我曾經是農家的野丫頭。我喜歡追逐火雞。火雞反而非常生氣，追逐我攻擊我。所以火雞的脾氣像“大火”。Dànshì, lǎoshī shuō:“Wǒ céngjīng shì nóng jiā de Yě yātou.Wǒ xǐhuān zhuī huǒ jī.   • Steve (葛艾倫) said, "Is the turkey that you chased white or black?  If it's black,  the turkey's feathers turned red and aggressive after being chased.  That's why it's called "Fire chicken." Steve (葛艾倫) 說, "您追的火雞是白色還是黑色？ 如果是黑色，火雞的羽毛在被追趕後會變成紅色且具有攻擊性。 這就是為什麼它被稱為“火雞”" Steve (葛艾倫) shuō, "Nín zhuī de huǒ jī shì báisè háishì hēisè?   • Joseph (高靖和) said, "Today, I would like to speak "Helping Delivery."   •  Raymond(書宗) said, "I was not very close with my father. He likes to play golf which is not my favorite game. But I was able to listen to him about golf when we played together, so we build closer relationship."   • Rico Doss ( 熊大東),  said, "I am not a Japanese, but my wife is.  I like "Taiwanese Cuisine!"  and playing tennis.  I am not a "Mr. More or Less!" Rico Doss ( 熊大東) 說, "我不是日本人，但我太太是。 我喜歡“台灣菜！” 和打網球。 我不是“差不多先生！"”Darrell Rico Doss ( 熊大東), shuō,"Wǒ bùshì rìběn rén, dàn wǒ Tàitài  shì. Wǒ xǐhuān “táiwān cài!” hé dǎ wǎngqiú. Wǒ bùshì “chàbùduō xiānshēng!”
  • Teacher Wu's conclusion, "I love myself, and I love Taiwan more." 吳老師的結論是: "我愛自己，也更愛台灣." - Wú lǎoshī de jiélùn shì:"Wǒ ài zìjǐ, yě gèng ài táiwān."

    Today, we have reviewed "Let's Learn mandarin" Volume 1, Lesson 5 - how to differentiate "where?" and "there." in tones.  The class was video-recorded for one of the required sessions of teacher's training program for "Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning Teacher's Certificate.  今天，我們複習《來!學華語》第1冊第五課——如何區分“哪裡？ 和“那裡” 音調。 該課程為“ 「台灣華語文學習中心」 教師認證”教師培訓計劃必修課之一的視頻錄製。 Jīntiān, wǒmen fùxí “lái!
